

Lauren Riggs

Lauren Riggs is a double major in Psychology and Human Development with a minor in Professional Writing at UC Davis. She aspires to pursue a Ph.D upon graduation and her research interests are rooted in studying how we can better address medical trauma and PTSD. Lauren is passionate about understanding why people are the way they are by taking in the context of their own individuality, as well as helping people feel less alone in seemingly disconsolate times.
Lauren has experience with volunteering for various nonprofits and offering therapeutic relationships, connections, and conversations to patients at the UC Davis Health Hospital through the CARE Project. She is also a research assistant, giving her extensive skills in research technologies and fast-paced settings. As a professional writing minor, Lauren's extensive knowledge of writing and storytelling align with her high regard for adaptability, problem-solving skills, and reliability.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys participating in various activities such as painting, reading, skiing, exercising, cooking, travelling, and being in nature.
